Night two of Rush 2008 - As loud music starts blaring from all corners of north campus, the fun part of Rush 2008 begins. Stomachs full, the fraternity members crowd around the poker table in the Phi Delt house, waiting for potential pledges to arrive. In the hour or so after dinner, the Phi Delts have transformed their living room into a gladiator ring. Bracing himself against the blows from Music sophomore Adam Seidel, the newly recruited Michael Beadle, a Weinberg freshman, paces around the ring, seemingly exhuberant after dropping his bid. The fun atmosphere masks the important goal that lies ahead for these brothers: recruitment. –Paul Takahashi
